Deepening Into Presence: Bali Retreat with Esther Ekhart and Tracey Cook

Join Esther Ekhart and Tracey Cook in Bali for a transformative retreat, where gentle movement, meditation, and self-inquiry await, offering a deeper connection to your essence and the world around you.

What To Expect

Let Esther and Tracey guide you through the transformational and replenishing tools of gentle movement, pranayama, meditation, self-inquiry, and silence to allow your body and mind to find balance and reconnect to the deepest part of who you are. Through these practices, we can find joy in slowing down and knowing the connectedness of all things.

Together, Esther and Tracey share over 40 years of experience in sharing the practice of yoga and offering guidance, tools, and techniques that illuminate the way home to knowing ourselves and the world around us in a way that goes beyond what we experience on the surface of our everyday lives.

Held at the beautiful Jeda Retreat Centre in North-West Bali, the gentleness of our tropical surroundings will embrace us and help replenish us on all levels. Bali can be sometimes quiet and sometimes jubilant and exuberant when there are festivals and cultural events. So our time there is about finding the joy and love within it all.

6-night Retreat

Our 6-night retreat will be a wonderful opportunity to slow down and nourish your inner state of being through gentle asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra, self-inquiry, sound healing, and silence.

By replenishing ourselves and becoming more present, the things that keep us “stuck” in life start to fall away and we can know more clearly who we really are and understand the flow of life more clearly. By “retreating” from your usual everyday life and finding more balance between the “doing” and the “being,” we can return to life with a refreshed perspective, feeling more alive and connected to the inner tranquillity that is always present.

Daily Schedule

We will greet each morning in silence, gathering first for meditation and pranayama as we, and the world around us, start the day. After breakfast, we will continue the day with some gentle movement, designed to keep the body open, stable, and balanced. The practices are accessible for everyone and will be based on yoga asana and also involve somatic movement and other techniques that allow energy to flow more freely through the system.

There will be some full days of silence, where we invite you to bring your attention fully inward. Silence can be a brilliant teacher, and this time of external quiet can allow for a profound inner experience.

It is recommended that you have some experience in the practice of being still, as we will have prolonged sessions of sitting for meditation and pranayama, as well as lying down in stillness for yoga nidra.

Opening Ceremony

Every Retreat and YTT will start with a 7 am opening ceremony led by a Balinese priest. This ceremony is a sacred form of gratitude for what is and a wish for peace and abundance in the world. The centre provides all the traditional clothing necessary for the ceremony and the staff will help you get ready.
