A Transformative Journey - On Becoming a Yoga Teacher
At our Portuguese home base, The D'alijo Centre, master instructor Marcel van de Vis Heil and I will offer two distinct programs on an alternating yearly basis. The first program is a 100-hour functional Hatha-Vinyasa yoga teacher training, while the second program, held the following year, focuses on Yin yoga, mindfulness, chakras, and meridians, also spanning 100 hours. These training sessions take place in Portugal every April.
The best part is that you have the flexibility to choose either program individually, each comprising 100 hours, or combine them for a comprehensive 200-hour training.
Our 200-hour program extends over one year, allowing you to fully engage in the transformative journey of becoming a yoga teacher. It harmoniously blends our Hatha-Vinyasa and Yin training, supplemented by enriching yoga anatomy, philosophy and sequencing courses from the prestigious online Ekhart Academy.
Additionally, as part of the 200-hour program where you combine Yin and Vinyasa/Hatha training, you will benefit from the invaluable support of a dedicated intervision group. In this group, you will have opportunities to practice teaching others and receive constructive feedback.

Our 200 Hour Program Includes
INTERVISION Groups
You will benefit from the invaluable support of a dedicated intervision group. In this group, you will have opportunities to practice teaching others and receive constructive feedback.
Plus Access To Ekhart Academy Courses
More about INTERVISION GROUPS

Intervision groups will meet approximately once a month for approximately 90 min between the two trainings for a total of 10 times.

If you start with the Vinyasa/Hatha teacher training, you will practice teaching Hatha/Vinyasa. If you start with the Yin training, you will practice teaching Yin.

The purpose of these groups is to help you become comfortable and skillful with teaching. Once you are confident and skilful in one style, you can apply that confidence to the other style.

Marcel and Esther will each visit every intervision group once to provide feedback and assist you in progressing. You will have their guidance and support twice during these 10 sessions

Requirements
To participate in this training, it is necessary to meet the following criteria:

Minimum of 1 year of steady yoga practice with a teacher.

Regular and consistent self-practice of yoga, at least 3 times a week.

Proficiency in any hatha-based style of yoga.
These requirements ensure that you have a solid foundation and dedication to the practice, enabling you to fully benefit from and contribute to the training experience.
Assessment

After completing the second training, you will need to submit a 20-minute video of yourself teaching the respective style.

We will provide feedback on your video, along with considering everything we have observed throughout the training.

The assessment of your video, combined with our overall evaluation, will determine whether you receive your certificate.

If we have concerns about your mastery of safe teaching, we will offer suggestions for further development, and you can submit another video at a later date.
Registration & Pricing
Pricing options are based on each individual 100-Hour Training. When you register for the second event, you will receive a €250 discount on the second training plus access to the online modules and INTERVISION Groups.
The next 100-Hour Training will be our Functional Hatha-Vinyasa Training in April 2024.
